We automatically collect information about how you use our services, including the spots you visit, challenges you complete, rewards you earn, and your interaction patterns within the app.

Device Information

We collect information about your device, including device type, operating system, unique device identifiers, and mobile network information to optimize our services.

Mobile App Permissions

Our mobile application (iOS and Android) may request the following permissions: Location Services (required for spot discovery and check-ins), Camera (optional, for uploading photos and scanning QR codes), Photo Library (optional, for selecting and uploading images), Push Notifications (optional, for challenge updates and reward alerts), and Network Access (required for app functionality). You can manage these permissions in your device settings at any time. Denying certain permissions may limit functionality but will not prevent you from using the app.

Third-Party Service Providers

We work with trusted third-party service providers who help us operate our services, including: Razorpay (payment processing and subscription management), cloud hosting providers (data storage and infrastructure), analytics services (usage tracking and platform improvement), email delivery services (transactional and promotional emails), and SMS notification providers (account alerts and updates). These providers are contractually bound by confidentiality agreements and can only use your information to provide services to us. They do not have permission to use your data for their own purposes.

Payment Processing & Transactions

Third-Party Payment Processing

All payment transactions for business subscriptions are processed through Razorpay, our authorized payment gateway partner. SpotShunt does not store, process, or have access to your complete card details, UPI credentials, or banking information. Payment data is handled securely by Razorpay in compliance with PCI-DSS standards.

Business Subscriptions

Businesses can subscribe to our platform through monthly or yearly subscription plans. All subscription payments are processed via Razorpay. We collect necessary billing information (business name, email, phone number) to process subscriptions and issue invoices.

No User Payments

SpotShunt is free for end users (explorers). We do not collect any payments from users for using the platform, discovering spots, or participating in challenges. Revenue is generated solely through business sponsor subscriptions.

XP and Rewards

Experience Points (XP) earned on our platform have no monetary value and cannot be converted to cash. XP is a gamification metric used to track user engagement and unlock rewards. Rewards are provided by sponsor businesses, not by SpotShunt. SpotShunt acts as a platform connecting users with sponsor-provided rewards and does not guarantee reward availability.
