Who This Applies To
This Refund & Cancellation Policy applies exclusively to business sponsors who subscribe to SpotShunt's paid plans (Monthly or Yearly subscriptions). SpotShunt is free for end users, and no payments are collected from users. Therefore, this policy does not apply to explorers using the platform.
Our Commitment
We are committed to delivering quality services to our business partners. This policy outlines the circumstances under which refunds are provided and how subscription cancellations are handled. All refunds are processed through Razorpay, our secure payment gateway partner.
Refund Policy
Eligibility for Refunds
Refunds are provided ONLY if the subscribed service is not delivered as promised. This means if you have paid for a subscription plan but did not receive access to the platform features, dashboard, or services outlined in your chosen plan, you may be eligible for a refund.
Refund Request Timeline
All refund requests must be raised within 7 (seven) days of the payment date. Requests submitted after this period will not be considered for refunds. Please ensure you contact our support team promptly if you experience any service delivery issues.
How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, please contact our support team at support@spotshunt.com. Provide your subscription details, payment information, and a clear explanation of why the service was not delivered.
Refund Processing
Once your refund request is reviewed and approved, refunds will be processed via Razorpay to the original payment method used during subscription. The refund amount will be credited within 7-10 business days from the date of approval. Processing times may vary depending on your bank or payment provider.
Non-Refundable Scenarios
Refunds will NOT be provided in the following cases: (a) Partial usage of subscription services during the billing period, (b) Change of mind or business strategy after subscribing, (c) Failure to utilize platform features due to your own technical issues or negligence, (d) Subscription period has already been used or expired, (e) Refund request made after 7 days of payment.
Cancellation Policy
How to Cancel Your Subscription
You can cancel your subscription at any time by logging into your business dashboard and navigating to the subscription management section, or by contacting our support team at support@spotshunt.com. Cancellation is immediate upon request.
Effect of Cancellation
Canceling your subscription stops all future billing immediately. You will not be charged for the next billing cycle. However, cancellation does not refund the current active subscription period. You will retain access to platform features until the end of your current paid period.
No Refund for Current Period
When you cancel a subscription, no refund is provided for the remaining days or months of the current billing cycle. For example, if you cancel a yearly subscription 2 months in, you will not receive a refund for the remaining 10 months. Your access continues until the paid period expires.
Reactivation After Cancellation
If you cancel your subscription and wish to reactivate it later, you can subscribe again at any time through the platform. Standard subscription rates will apply, and you will be billed according to the plan you choose.
Payment Processing
Payment Gateway
All subscription payments are processed through Razorpay, a secure and PCI-DSS compliant payment gateway. SpotShunt does not store or have access to your complete card details, UPI credentials, or banking information. All payment data is encrypted and handled by Razorpay.
Billing Cycle
Subscriptions are billed in advance at the start of each billing cycle (monthly or yearly, depending on your chosen plan). Automatic renewals occur unless you cancel your subscription before the next billing date.
Payment Failures
If a subscription renewal payment fails due to insufficient funds, expired cards, or other payment issues, your account may be temporarily suspended. You will receive notifications to update your payment method. Access will be restored once payment is successfully processed.
Important Clarifications
No User Payments
SpotShunt is completely free for end users (explorers). Users do not make any payments to use the platform, discover spots, complete challenges, or earn XP. This Refund & Cancellation Policy applies only to business sponsors who purchase subscription plans.
XP Has No Monetary Value
Experience Points (XP) earned by users on the platform have no monetary value. XP cannot be converted to cash, withdrawn, or refunded. XP is purely a gamification metric used to track user engagement and unlock sponsor-provided rewards.
SpotShunt as a Platform
SpotShunt acts as a facilitator connecting explorers with sponsor businesses. We do not issue rewards directly. Rewards are provided by sponsor businesses. Any issues with reward fulfillment should be addressed with the respective sponsor.
